Battle Cry: Bring on the Conservative Reformation

Starting with The Sell Out and continuing with #TheBuckleyList; the brilliant minds at the Buckley Club are putting the Trump enablers and Trumpkins on notice. The Conservative Movement itself cannot accept the extremists and conspiracy theorists in its midst. As such, those of us who adhere to the principles of economic freedom and individual liberty will stand tall against the Trumpkins and their enablers. Much like William F Buckley did against the Birchers, we will seek a conservative reformation that will re-center the movement to bring acceptance, strength, and prosperity to all Americans and beyond.
The primary problem with the Birchers was that its leader and many of its members saw conspiracies behind every corner. So much so the leader of the John Birch Society, Robert Welch accused Dwight D Eisenhower and in fact most of the federal government of being active conspirators with the communists. This was a blatantly outrageous claim and a result of logical incoherence. As Mr. Buckley stated:
The fallacy is the assumption that you can infer subjective intention from the objective consequence: we lost China to the Communists, therefore the President of the United States and the Secretary of State wished China to go to the Communists
Today’s conservative movement has been hijacked by the Turncoats and the Enablers who either actively push “establishment” conspiracies or leverage those who believe them to advance their career. These charlatans have now removed their mask, and unless they are discredited broadly based on reason and conservative ideas, our country and movement will fail. Media, organizations, and individuals that believe in economic freedom and individual liberty can no longer appease or tolerate these fools. Instead, we must turn-out the Turncoats and call-out the Enablers to correct their untruths quickly and with malice.
Mr. Buckley stated in his National Review take down of Robert Welch, the leader of the John Birch Society:
The underlying problem is whether conservatives can continue to acquiesce quietly in a rendition of the causes of the decline of the Republic and the entire Western world which is false, and, besides that, crucially different in practical emphasis from their own.
Today’s anti-establishment-establishment is bigger and more influential than the John Birch Society, however they can still be defeated with the power of truth. The Buckley Club and others will lead that charge to expose the lies, conspiracies, and fallacies pushed by the Turncoats and the Enablers; with the clear goal of growing the conservative movement and bringing reason back to this insane world.
The conservative reformation has begun.
